Veterans Day at the National Constitution Center Commemorate Veterans Day at the Center with special events, including a wreath laying ceremony, patriotic concerts, and chat with veterans. Other activities on Monday, November 11 include: Letter writing stations where visitors can write letters of recognition those who have served in the armed forces. Letters will then be distributed by our partners at Thank-A-Vet. Veteran Talks- which allow visitors to hear about the life of a solider from men and women who served. A military muster activity on the front lawn- where visitors can learn the art of marching and musket etiquette from Revolutionary War-era reenactors. LEARN MORE Scout Days provide scouts and their leaders the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities throughout the museum. These range from self-guided exploration to programs facilitated by museum educators. Groups who register to attend will receive a schedule for the day and a "Scout Activity Packet" that will help them accomplish their badge requirements. Upcoming dates include: Saturday, October 26 – Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA After completing their activities for the day, scouts have the option to meet with a merit badge counselor, who can recap the programs and sign their Blue Card. Saturday, November 2 – Girl Scouts of the USA Girl Scouts can participating in programs designed to meet requirements for their Citizenship Legacy Badge, as well as select Journey requirements. LEARN MORE Bring Your Students to the Center with the Constitutional Ambassadors Program The Constitutional Ambassadors Program, available for high school students, is an immersive field trip experience that includes tours of museum exhibitions, a conversation with a constitutional expert, a deep dive into a specific constitutional provision, and a dialogue with students from a different school. Teachers receive resources to prepare students before the trip, and follow-up materials to round out the activity after returning to the classroom.
