This is Diabetes: Our brand new campaign
As a subscriber to our e-newsletter, we’re really proud to share the news with you first that today we’re launching an exciting new campaign: This is Diabetes.
We want to show the world what it’s really like to live with diabetes day in, day out. The constant balancing act of listening to your body, managing numbers, dealing with opinions, and of being the most organised person you know. And having the determination to take it in your stride, every single day.
This is Diabetes features real people from our community living with and affected by diabetes - Liz, Jon, Kaajal, Gina, Libby and Snita. We know that diabetes is complicated, and it’s different for everyone. But we hope you and your loved ones will see some of your own experiences reflected in their stories. |

This is Gina's diabetes
“The advice I’d want to give myself looking back is that it’s not my fault. It's my body telling me that it needs that little bit of extra support.” Gina developed sight loss after she was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, and worried about how she'd continue working as a community nurse. But with treatment, she’s now back driving, visiting patients at their homes and riding her horses. |
