John --
Exciting news on the ranked choice voting front today. Senator Bennet (CO-D), Senator King (ME-I) and Representative Phillips (MN-D) announced the introduction of the Voter Choice Act, a piece of legislation that would make it easier for communities to embrace ranked choice voting across the country.
If passed, this piece of legislation would provide states and cities with up to $40 million in federal grants to cover up to 50% of the costs of adopting ranked choice voting.
Every community deserves the opportunity to try ranked choice voting elections, and the Voter Choice Act lowers the barrier to participation.
Please reach out to your Senators and Representative to urge them to support this legislation.
Once you’ve reached out to their office, share your support online! Tag @FairVote and the bill sponsors on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and/or Instagram to amplify the movement of advocates who believe ranked choice voting should be available to every voter in the country.
