We’ve said over and over how much is on the line in this election, but in case there’s any doubt: Yesterday, the Columbus Dispatch reported that Washington Republicans view our special election as a critical first step in taking back the House.

There’s no way around it: Our race is going to set the tone for who controls Congress next year -- meaning everything -- from health care to women’s reproductive rights to voting rights -- is at risk.

But it’s also more than that. While coal lobbyist Mike Carey is relying on his big corporate and special-interest backers to buy him this seat so he can advance a Trump-approved agenda in Congress, Allison has built a true grassroots movement that puts the voices of folks in this district front and center.
