We have some great news that we'd like to share (just in case you haven't seen it on social media or on the news yesterday):



Todd MacLean is officially the Green Party of PEI's candidate for the upcoming by-election in District 16 Cornwall-Meadowbank!



Green Party of PEI members unanimously endorsed Todd MacLean as our by-election candidate at a virtual nomination meeting held on Monday evening. If you missed it, you can see the highlights in this video <[link removed]>.



Todd MacLean is a well-known face in Prince Edward Island. A Meadowbank native, Todd's professional career to date has been as a musician, music teacher, freelance journalist and published writer. He has earned accolades as the 2015 Music PEI Media Person of the Year, and was voted Music PEI’s Music Educator of the Year in 2010 and Musician of the Year in 2011. As a writer, MacLean has worked particularly as creator/Editor-in-Chief on the book called Global Chorus: 365 Voices on the Future of the Planet – an anthology of leading global thinkers on humanity's future on Earth.



In accepting the nomination, Todd said "I am embracing this position with gratitude, with humility, and with firm dedication to this community - and I will do absolutely everything I can possibly do in the coming weeks and months to successfully be voted in as the new Member of the Legislative Assembly for Cornwall-Meadowbank."

The Premier has not yet set a date for the by-election, but Todd and the Green Party of PEI are not wasting any time - we already have a campaign office and have begun outreach activities in Cornwall-Meadowbank. We are in it to win it!
