Hi John,
One month today, on Saturday 6 November, tens of thousands of people will be coming out onto the streets to demand climate justice. Could you be there too?

This year has brought home just how serious the consequences of climate change are, with people in the global south bearing the brunt. Rich countries, who are responsible for the biggest per person contribution to climate change, need to dispense with the “blah, blah, blah”, as Greta Thunberg put it last week, and commit to an urgent and just transition to a low carbon economy.
With the UN climate talks taking place in Glasgow during the first two weeks of November, we need the biggest possible turnout to pressure governments to act.

Some of our local groups and members have been involved in organising these protests, and in Glasgow itself, we’ll not only be joining the demonstration, we’ll be running our own activist hub space the day before, and running sessions at the People’s Summit for Climate Justice, from Sunday 7 November onwards. If you’d like to join us in Glasgow, we’re offering a limited number of travel subsidies to supporters, and have pre-booked hostel bed space. Check out our website for more details of all of this.
Wherever you are, Saturday 6 November is the time to turn out for climate justice.

By coming together to challenge them, we can make a difference. Â
Regular gifts give us the long-term stability to plan effective campaigns, as well as the flexibility to react to key events.
If you’re not already a member, will you join today?Â
