President Joe Biden has denounced the anti-voter laws that are being proposed all across the country. He said we’re facing “the most significant test of our democracy since the Civil War” and he’s right.

The Freedom to Vote Act would be the most significant voting rights bill in generations. It would protect the freedom to vote equally for all Americans, stop partisan gerrymandering, and limit the influence of dark money so that billionaires can’t buy elections.

That’s why President Biden and the Senate must do whatever it takes to pass this bill. The freedom to vote is too important for outdated procedures or loopholes, like the filibuster, to stand in the way.
