Congressman Troy Carter has endorsed Mayor LaToya Cantrell. Carter was elected to serve Louisiana's 2nd Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives in April earlier this year. This local and federal partnership is crucial to New Orleans' future prosperity.
Together Mayor Cantrell and Congressman Troy Carter have fought to raise the minimum wage, ban discrimination based on hairstyle, create automatic voter registration upon driver's license renewal, safeguard women's rights to their own bodies, and protect immigrants. In her second term, the two will fight for once-in-a-lifetime infrastructure investments, equal pay for equal work, and common-sense solutions to the affordable housing challenges facing the hard-working residents of New Orleans.
