I’m sure you’ve been hearing a lot about what’s going on in Washington right now, so I wanted to make sure you knew what I’m working on.
The two bills making headlines the most are the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act -- which will refurbish tens of thousands of miles of roads, fix thousands of bridges, and update our country's crumbling infrastructure -- and the Build Back Better Act -- which will make huge investments in combating climate change and follow through on the promise we made to America to build back better.
These are once-in-a-generation investments in our future that I’m working with my Democratic colleagues to get passed in the House, and I’m dedicated to ensuring that both of them reach President Biden’s desk so you can rest easier knowing that our country is recovering.
I’ve got to get back to work, but I’ll make sure to keep you updated on what is happening in Washington.
