The only wait to cancel out Brett Kavanaugh’s influence on the Supreme Court is to add seats to rebalance our judiciary.

Three years ago today, on October 6, 2018, nine days after Dr. Christine Blasey Ford testified before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee detailing her sexual assault at the hands of Brett Kavanaugh, 50 senators voted to appoint Kavanaugh to a lifetime seat on the Supreme Court.
Since then, Mitch McConnell and the Republicans have solidified the conservative supermajority on the Court and now two justices with credible allegations of sexual misconduct have the power to decide what reproductive rights millions of people across the country are allowed to access.
Without urgent action, this far-right rule, out of step with the majority of Americans, will only get worse. And Brett Kavanaugh and his colleagues will continue to prioritize the interests of Republican donors and corporations over those of the American people.

I know that I’m not the only one who still remembers how it felt to witness Dr. Blasey Ford’s testimony and then watch the Senate turn around and confirm Kavanaugh to a lifetime appointment just days later. At that moment, it was abundantly clear that those 50 senators were not concerned with ensuring that the justices on the Supreme Court represented all Americans, just those who are wealthy, powerful, and politically aligned with them.
That moment was a turning point for many of us. When Take Back the Court was founded, no one was talking about Court expansion. Now, more than 30 members of Congress, almost 90 advocacy organizations, and countless people around the country have joined together to call for adding seats to the Court.
We have the momentum to keep pushing to cancel out Kavanaugh and his fellow far-right extremists by expanding the Court. We can do this — but we need supporters like you to keep powering our campaign for Court expansion and demand our leaders act now.
