Dear John,
Since the beginning of the pandemic, I have said that COVID-19 vaccines will help save lives, restore confidence in our communities to safely reopen, and jumpstart our economy to reach the heights it did before the public health crisis. That is why I have consistently encouraged Montanans to talk to their doctors about getting a safe, effective, and free vaccine. In fact, I participated in the Pfizer vaccine trial to build trust and confidence for Montanans wondering if they should get vaccinated.
While I’m pro-vaccine, I’m anti-mandate. I believe President Biden’s mandate is a massive government overreach and that it will hurt Montana businesses. I’m also concerned that this type of government intrusion could further increase vaccine hesitancy.
Hear from Tom Simkins, co-owner of Simkins-Hallin Lumber in Bozeman, on how these mandates could hurt his employees and business.

As your voice in the United States Senate, I will continue encouraging Montanans to talk with their doctor about getting a free and effective COVID-19 vaccine, and push back against big government overreach from the Biden administration.
Sincerely,
Senator Steve Daines
