"Vortices / Agile IV" by Melissa Mahoney

The art piece is inspired by the Japanese aesthetic symbol called enso, a perfectly balanced circle captured by calligraphers with a single stroke of an ink brush on rice paper. Melissa takes this concept of balance, and through multiple strokes and the uses of vibrant colors, creates depth and dimension, bringing the circle to Life.

Klari Reis uses the tools and techniques of science in her creative process, constantly experimenting with new ways to apply materials and methods. Reis' work has been exhibited worldwide and has been featured in international publications. The unifying theme of her art is the mastery of a new media plastic, epoxy polymer, and the control she brings to its reactions with a variety of dyes and pigments.
