John,

How free are we if we have to worry about medical bills?

I posed this question when discussing our healthcare system during my recent interview [[link removed]] with The Young Turks. Health care is one of many urgent challenges we discussed — challenges that can only be solved if we get corporate interests out of our government.

This is exactly why we need leadership that is not beholden to corporations.

Yet the incumbent in Arizona’s First District, Tom O’Halleran, is a former Republican and Blue Dog “Democrat” who not only takes money from corporations, but fails to champion policies regular people desperately need.

My personal experiences have made me a bold advocate of progressive policies.

My immigration experience taught me how discriminative the process can be.

My grandmother died from a botched abortion under a system that didn’t allow for safe, legal abortions. I can’t believe we’re still talking about a woman’s right to choose in 2019.

We’re moving backward when we need to be moving forward.

I know firsthand that immigration and reproductive rights are matters of life and death, and my lived experience has taught me to be fearless.

Right now, we must be fearless and stand up for policies that will protect our rights — rights that will always be endangered when we have representatives who are too afraid to stand up to injustices.
Real change can only happen if our representatives in government cannot be bought. That’s why I’m running to represent Arizona’s First District with a 100% grassroots campaign. We don’t accept any corporate PAC or special interest money.

Our grassroots movement relies on individuals like you who share our vision for this nation’s future.

Can I count on you to join our fearless and bold movement? [[link removed]]

In solidarity,

Eva
