Wisconsin Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes is running to unseat far-right Republican Ron Johnson and represent working families in the U.S. Senate. I’m proud to support Mandela because he’s not just a firm opponent of the filibuster — he’s a proven champion for working families.

The stakes couldn’t be higher. Our Senate majority is razor-thin and we’re two votes short of abolishing the filibuster, which Mitch McConnell and Republicans are using to block the vast majority of our progressive agenda.
As the son of a Milwaukee schoolteacher and General Motors plant worker, Mandela Barnes knows personally why we can’t afford to fall short on policies that would lift up millions of working Americans and their families — not when the wealthiest individuals and corporations are enjoying record-low tax rates and far more than their fair sure of our country’s prosperity.
