Welcome to WCV's Weekly Election Update, your one-stop-shop for pertinent voting information, actions to take, and upcoming events hosted by WCV-endorsed candidates. With a plethora of local elections happening this year, the future of our environment and communities are at stake. Electing pro-environment local governments is a crucial factor in creating an equitable, just, and healthy environment for all, especially on issues we all care about like housing justice, clean water, and public transportation.
Are you a military or overseas voter? You're still eligible to vote in the Nov 2nd General Election and there are accessible voting options available to you! Now is a good time for military and overseas voters to fill out or update your registration because you are eligible to receive you ballot earlier than local voters in Washington. You have the option to return your ballot by mail, email, or fax. While our system does allow you for more time to get your ballot returned to the county elections department, it still must be signed and dated by election day so check your registration today to ensure it indicates that you are in the armed forces or living overseas. You can find more detailed information from the Secretary of State here. [[link removed]]
Join the Evergreen Future Textbanking team! [[link removed]] Volunteers will send texts to thousands of voters to get out the vote for pro-environment candidates in local elections across the state. To be a part of this team, you just commit to sending texts for three hour-and-a-half shifts between now and Election Day — that's it! Training will be provided by our field team.
