Future Forum members Colin Allred (TX-32), Sharice Davids (KS-03), and Andy Kim (NJ-03) came together to fight for lower drug prices by letting Medicare negotiate directly with pharmaceutical companies. They know that the high cost of prescription drugs is hurting families — and it is long past time to bring those prices down.

These three Future Forum Members just published an op-ed in the Washington Post on their push to pass the Lower Drug Costs Now Act, which would allow Medicare to negotiate medication prices directly with drug companies.

But we want to know what you think of it: Should Medicare be allowed to negotiate drug prices directly?

There are many reasons why these Future Forum members are fighting so hard to get the Lower Drug Costs Now Act passed:

• Because people on Medicare could see savings of as much as 55 percent for some medicines. 
• Because by lowering costs, more small businesses would be able to provide their employees with health insurance. 
• Because it’s outrageous that pharmaceutical companies can charge Americans 10x what they charge patients in other countries.
• And most importantly: because they believe it’s the right thing to do.
