In 2019, my Mom and Dad moved more than a thousand miles away and both now suffer from memory loss and other severe health issues. If this wasn't tricky enough, my family has had to manage their care in the midst of a deadly pandemic.

I bring it up because my family's experience is not uncommon.

That's why I believe our government should do more to care for senior citizens as well as provide support for families who need assistance caring for their loved ones.

It's been extremely stressful and time consuming to manage my parent's care. Thankfully my brother and his family live close by and help in every way they can. But not everyone has a sibling to lean on in these situations.

In the toughest moments, I ground myself in the fact that millions of Americans share the struggle to access affordable, quality senior care. As a candidate for Congress, I'm in a position to elevate pain points and hopefully take action to improve senior care nationwide through policy.

In short: I believe we can and must do more as a country to take care of our seniors as their needs increase.

My campaign will always strive to center the voices and stories of families, and I'd love to hear what you think. Should we be doing more for senior care?
