[ [link removed] ]Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for Congress

We have a $3.5 trillion spending bill – known as the Build Back Better Act
– up for a vote this month that could invest in universal pre-k for 3 & 4
year-olds, a Civilian Climate Corps, paid family and medical leave,
extending the child tax credit, and so much more.

This vote is coming after months of debate around the President’s
infrastructure plan. After a small bipartisan group stripped major
priorities from the original infrastructure bill, Alexandria spoke out on
our need to deliver on the priorities that voters elected Democrats to
fight for. This new Build Back Better Act was created to actually pass the
transformational changes that working families need — not just pass
marginal changes that keep corporate donors comfortable.

Despite immense pressure to vote on the watered-down bipartisan
infrastructure bill first, Alexandria and her colleagues have refused to
give up their leverage and held the line to ensure that no one gets left
behind in this spending plan. She and her colleagues won’t vote to pass
the original bipartisan infrastructure bill without passing the Build Back
Better Act. Period.

It’s time for Congress to deliver on the priorities that voters elected
them to fight for — not the bare minimum. That’s what Alexandria is
laser-focused on.

to power our campaign. Will you show your support in this key moment by
pitching in $3 to help us keep up our fight for working
families?

At every turn, Alexandria has worked to call out the corporate interests
fueling the resistance to this bill and the leaders in Washington who are
doing their bidding and holding up the President’s plan.

When Democrats like Senator Joe Manchin suggested we pause on advancing
this bill, Alexandria called attention to his weekly meetings with Exxon
lobbyists – pointing a finger at the dark money that’s blocking climate
action in Congress.

We must take this opportunity to show people in this country what a
Democratic majority can do for the people who elected us — instead of
allowing corporate lobbyists to dictate our legislative priorities.

[ [link removed] ]If you’re able, please chip in $3 to ensure that
Alexandria can continue fighting for our values in Congress today,
tomorrow, in 2022 and beyond.

Together, we will pass this bill and continue delivering for working
people.

With thanks,

Team AOC
