As you may know, the California League of Conservation Voters (CLCV) has officially changed our name to California Environmental Voters (or “EnviroVoters” for short).

The reason is simple: Our organization's mission has evolved.

We’re facing a climate crisis that requires urgent and immediate action. But our political leaders seem to lack the fundamental will to make the transformative changes we need.

That’s why we’re going all-in to leverage our voice as Environmental Voters and demand climate action before it’s too late.

Friends, we don’t need to tell you how urgent our climate emergency is.

Wildfires are getting worse. Pollution and carbon emissions are devastating communities. And we’re constantly facing droughts and severe water shortages.

As the climate crisis continues to threaten the future of humanity, we need to make bold changes to how we live. Scientists say we have until 2030 to avert major climate catastrophe -- so the time to get to work is NOW.

The truth is, we have the solutions to avoid this looming catastrophe. We know exactly what we must do to transform our economy and infrastructure and create a more just reality for our communities.

We just don’t have the political will.

Amidst record-breaking heatwaves, wildfires, and oils spills, we continue to see lawmakers influenced by Big Oil block critical legislation that would start to reverse the devastating impact of climate change.

We’ve had enough. As EnviroVoters, we are fighting for climate justice by demanding our political leaders start implementing climate solutions at the rate and scale we need.

As our current climate crisis in California and across the world continues to worsen, time is running out.

That’s why we need you to stay in this fight with us and help empower bold policymaking to address this crisis.
