Congress must keep their promise and support women and families.

Dear John,

For months, Congress and the White House have been working on a bill and funding that will build back our economy and country. The Build Back Better plan is a robust investment in women as workers, caregivers, and taxpayers. This a historic step toward acknowledging the suffering and hardship that millions of women and families—particularly Black, brown and immigrant women—have endured during the continued pandemic, and even long before it started.

This month, Congress is negotiating the size and scope of this package. The real question Congress must answer now is this: to what extent are they willing to ask the rich and corporations to pay their fair share so that our families and communities get the investments—child care, paid leave, health care, the child tax credit, housing, and more—that we need?

Congress must keep their promise to pass a plan that provides relief to women and families. They need to know that now is not the time to play political games with our futures.

This is why we need the BUILD BACK BETTER plan to pass now.

Tell Congress: Build Back Better Now!

We need you to contact your representatives to tell them to vote YES to build a strong foundation so women and families can not only survive, but move toward thriving.

TAKE ACTION

Be sure to tell your member why you are urging them to vote YES to Build Back Better. We need to see significant investments in child care, paid family and medical leave, home care, access to health care, housing security, workers’ rights protections, and tax relief for women and families.

We need Congress to act now—because we have waited long enough. Our communities and families cannot afford Congress and the White House breaking the promise they’ve made to build a more fair and just economy. Make sure Congress hears from you right now.

Sincerely,

Anna Chu
