Cutting Methane Emissions Can Have a Big Impact on Climate Change 

The United States, European Union and other major economies recently announced a new pledge to cut global methane emissions by 30% by 2030. Why is reducing methane emissions so important? Methane is the second most abundant greenhouse gas and raises global temperatures at a rate 86 times faster than carbon dioxide. This new goal — which is expected to be finalized at COP26 — can help curb this dangerous climate super pollutant. Read more.​​​​​​

Entrepreneurs in Africa Need Resources to Restore Degraded Land 

Landscape restoration entrepreneurs in Africa can generate innovative change, but only with access to predictable and affordable funding. Currently, while funders have committed over $16 billion to restore Africa’s degraded land, most of the money doesn’t reach the people on the ground who do the hard work of land restoration. It’s time to close the funding gap and ensure locally run restoration projects receive funding that can help restore 100 million hectares of land by 2030. Read more.
