OUR EXPERTS Rawan Hamadeh, Associate Mental Health Project Coordinator joined Project HOPE in 2020 as our Associate Mental Health Project Coordinator. Originally from Lebanon, she worked in humanitarian assistance and system reform while pursuing her master’s degree in health care and quality management. She has previously held roles in UN agencies, international NGOs, and within Lebanon’s ministry of public health.
Dr. Cristina Riley-Lazo is a holistic psychiatrist with extensive experience in public mental health that emphasizes the importance of prevention and lifestyle choices in mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. She volunteered with Project HOPE on the Navajo Nation during the COVID-19 outbreak and was also deployed to Puerto Rico in the wake of Hurricane Maria. Dr. Riley-Lazo is currently an Integrative Psychiatrist at a substance abuse recovery center in New Mexico where she works with both Navajo and Pueblo tribe members.
