John,

The radical Left is waging an all-out assault on religious liberty, targeting churches to harass, discriminate against, and even shut down.

Today is a major court deadline as we defend a church from its ministry being shut down.

Matthew 18:20 says: “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”

But members of a church in Virginia are being banned from gathering on the church’s own property for worship and other ministry. Why? Because the church won't get a liquor license.

The church doesn't even use wine in communion. It's simply political gameplay to block the church from worshiping. And it's completely unconstitutional.

We filed a lawsuit in federal court to defend the church’s rights. But the powerful county is trying to get the case thrown out rather than attempt to defend its egregious violation of religious liberty.

In fact, a federal judge has already had to force the county to follow court rules, striking down their first brief. They’ve finally complied, and TODAY is our deadline to respond to their attempts to have our case thrown out and to defend the church’s right to worship without some ridiculous liquor license.

For more than 30 years, the ACLJ has successfully defended religious liberty all the way to the Supreme Court, and we’re prepared to do it again.

But we need YOU before our deadline.
