Dear friends,

We hope you and your families are in good health and that your children have been enjoying the new school year and are staying safe.

As you probably know from personal experience, for the past 18 months, children have been confined to their homes due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with few opportunities to engage in enrichment programs, sports, or in-person interactions with their friends and peers.

To protect our community, ACCESS’ Youth Sports and Recreation program, a project supporting the physical and mental health of up to 250 students from low-income backgrounds, was put on hold. Today, as students return to schools, some are facing difficulty accessing afterschool programs and sports, especially in our neighboring areas. We want to provide a safe place for these children to grow socially and emotionally and build leadership skills, and so, we are bringing back our Sports and Recreation program. To do that, WE NEED YOU.

Your support will assist in hiring a coordinator to expand youth activities to include martial arts, soccer, basketball and more. It will also cover the costs of transportation on game days, nutritional drinks and snacks, sports equipment and gear such as jerseys and sports shoes, which many of those we serve cannot afford.

You can help us guarantee that expenses never stand as a barrier to children who wish to participate in these highly beneficial and empowering programs. Please support ([link removed]) ACCESS and be part of a community effort to grow healthy minds and bodies among our leaders of tomorrow.
