In early August, the ASPCA assisted the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office with rescuing dogs from an alleged underground dogfighting operation across New York and other states. RIGHT NOW, more than two months later, those rescued dogs are still in our care.
Ten individuals have been arrested, breaking this potentially horrifying cycle of violence and torture for these animals. |
The dogs are receiving ongoing medical care from our experts. Some of the dogs had ear, eye and skin infections, internal and external parasites, wounds and other conditions that needed immediate treatment. They are also receiving behavioral care which includes enrichment and socialization,
and behavior modification for those that need extra help to become adoptable.
As these dogs continue to recover from their past, we are thankful to have you by our side. Please give now to help us continue to heal victims of abuse and neglect. |
