Last night, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) blocked a $1 billion emergency replenishment package for Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system. He alone prevented passage of legislation funding this lifesaving system.


The House of Representatives overwhelmingly approved this funding last month by a vote of 420-9.


Earlier this year, when terrorists launched more than 4,000 rockets at Israel, Iron Dome intercepted more than 90% of the rockets that threatened civilians — saving countless Israeli and Palestinian lives.
