It's frustrating but can give you the upper hand

Being underestimated can feel incredibly frustrating, but, the secret
is, it can also be a tremendous advantage if you're up against a
superior force.

I've spent a great portion of my adult life working in male-dominated
industries. Before I started writing about survival, I worked in the
automotive industry - back in service and repair, not selling cars. It
was truly aggravating when someone demanded to see the manager, I came
out of my office, and they shouted, "I said I wanted to talk to the
service manager!"

If you're reading this and you're a woman, you're probably nodding your
head about the frustration factor. If you're a man, you should note that
being underestimated can help you too. It's the ultimate "hiding in
plain sight."
