These are candidates who face the same challenges as you and your community. You know why?
Every single Brand New Congress candidate was nominated by someone in their community.
Our nomination process can take months. But this hard work matters, because we, as a community, are sending true change agents who have lived through struggle firsthand and will stand up for working people and lead the fight against moneyed interests in Congress. For the Senate:
- Kimberly Graham of Iowa has joined our slate to take on the Koch family’s favorite, handpicked Senator, Republican Joni Ernst.
- Together with Paula Jean Swearengin (West Virginia) and Maggie Toulouse Oliver (New Mexico), Kimberly will help us mount a progressive political revolution in the United States Senate.
For the House of Representatives:
- Jennifer Perelman (FL-23) is taking on Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the infamous former DNC chair.
- Ihssane Leckey (MA-04) announced her challenge to Joe Kennedy III months before he decided to run for Senate instead.
- Kara Eastman (NE-02) is BACK to finish what she started in 2018. Together we are going to send Rep. Don Bacon into an early retirement.
- Shaniyat Chowdhury (NY-05), Isiah James (NY-09), and Tomas Ramos (NY-15) are joining AOC, Jamaal Bowman, and Lauren Ashcraft to take on the nefarious New York Democratic Machine and make NYC the heart of working class progressive champions.
- Jon Hoadley (MI-06) and Nick Rubando (OH-05) are taking on Republican incumbents with a multiracial, multigenerational working class coalition across the Rust Belt.
- Peter Khalil (WA-03) and Rebecca Parson (WA-06) are helping us expand the fierce progressive bloc of the Pacific Northwest.
And believe it or not, we’re not finished! We’ve got even more exciting candidates to introduce to you in the coming weeks.
