Monday Nature Mystery
We have no winner this week! Our contest rules state that both the common AND latin name must be provided, and that individuals may win one prize every 90 days. It was a tough one!
Last week's photo features the fruit of the Sassafras tree (Sassafras albidum). Sassafras is a deciduous native that can grow to 60.' It is a host plant to the Promethea Moth, Spicebush Swallowtail and a number of other lepidoptera. Do you want to learn more about native trees?
