Recently we sent an email to the membership to coordinate our next in-person meeting. We described that meeting as a "pow wow." We apologize for using this term in a culturally appropriative manner. We did so without thinking about the historical context of the term or how its use would be hurtful. In the future, we will strive to use language respectfully and in a way that reflects the values of our chapter.
