Friday's victory saving the president's Build Back Better agenda was also
a huge victory for Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal (WA-7).
Punchbowl: "Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) held her crew together -- and
got what they want. They are wielding power more effectively than ever
before."
The Guardian: "Progressive Pramila Jayapal flexes muscles in cat-and-mouse
negotiations: Washington state congresswoman has become key figure in the
rise of the progressives during Biden’s presidency"
MSNBC: "Progressives become powerful allies for Biden agenda."
This is exactly why we were one of the first groups to endorse Pramila
Jayapal when she ran for Congress -- highlighting her as a future
organizer in Congress.

PCCC 2016 VICTORY IMAGE
Friday was also a huge victory for PCCC members.
The Intercept: "Two things were clear [after the ACA passed with no public
option]: The House and Senate needed Democrats who were more progressive,
and those progressives needed to be better organized. A few new
organizations popped up in an effort to bring that into being. One called
itself the Progressive Change Campaign Committee, or PCCC...."
Pramila Jayapal's win in the Washington 7th Congressional District was one
of our big victories.
The American Prospect's David Dayen reports on how Congressional
Progressive Caucus Chair Pramila Jayapal has used her organizing
experience to build progressive power in Congress:
"At the beginning of this Congress, Jayapal, an organizer before she got
to Congress, created new rules to facilitate voting as a bloc...
"Ultimately, nearly 30 members publicly opposed Pelosi’s de-linking
efforts, with Jayapal having close to another 30 in her back pocket....
"This is a genuinely new position for the CPC. They are using their
numbers to enforce terms on legislation."
[ [link removed] ]Thank Pramila Jayapal for her work by chipping in to her re-election
campaign and by helping elect more bold progressive organizers who will
work with her in Congress!
Thanks for being a bold progressive.
