In case you missed it, friend -- here's coverage from Tom Barton in The Quad-City Times about a campaign stop I made in Davenport recently.
It's important to me that you know what issues I'm talking about on the trail and what we're hearing from constituents. Consider chipping in a contribution to help support our grassroots campaign after reading.

Education and the quality of our public schools is an issue central to many Iowans right now, and not just because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
As ranking member of the education committee, I introduced a plan earlier this year that would strengthen our schools. It does the following:
• Reduces class sizes and mandated testing
• Increases school support personnel
• Restores collective bargaining for teachers
• Stops the expansion of for-profit private and charter schools
• Enables local school boards and officials to serve communities without state overreach
This plan would make sure every kid in Iowa gets a great education. I'm putting so much emphasis on this issue because I truly believe that what's best for our kids is what's best for our state.
On the other hand, my opponent Kim Reynolds is attempting to divert resources from public schools to fund a voucher program to send kids to private schools. It's another way for her to avoid oversight, accountability, and transparency.
If you're ready to continue the fight for an Iowa that works for all of us, starting with our kids -- chip in whatever you can to help me get a good start on our October fundraising goal.
Thanks in advance,
