Katie Sponsler is a Democrat running in Virginia’s 66th House of Delegates District, the seat currently held by former Speaker of the House and failed gubernatorial candidate Kirk Cox. Cox, who has held this seat since 1990, ran unopposed for decades until Katie stepped up in 2017.

Katie is a mom, an Air Force vet, a cancer survivor, a community activist and advocate, and she’s ready to serve her community in Richmond.

HD-66 became more and more blue during the Trump administration and we finally have the chance to flip this seat and expand our majority.

In 2019, he only won re-election with 51% of the vote. He’s seen the writing on the wall and is retiring - and this presents an opportunity for us to win this thing. But it’s going to come down to the margins — and that’s where you come in, folks.

Virginia Democrats are taking action all across the Commonwealth, from Abingdon to Accomack to Arlington, and we’re running a program that we know can win and increase our majorities, but that program relies on your support and contributions.
