John,

You might have noticed - Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp have been down all day. All three of those social networks are owned by one company, and that's Facebook. It's in moments like these when millions of us realize how reliant we are on Big Tech.

Still, these same companies are pushing harmful and hateful misinformation out every day, for profit .

We need to regulate Big Tech to stop the spread of misinformation, and we need strong fighters in Congress who are willing to stand up and push for consumer protections so our data isn't for sale on the dark web to the highest bidder.

Will you sign our petition to impose new regulations on Big Tech? [[link removed]]

Since the dawn of the internet, data privacy laws have remained largely unchanged. In order to make social networks a welcoming space for people to connect with each other, we need laws that reflect the reality that Big Tech has gone largely unchecked for decades.

I'll keep fighting against these large corporations that are only driven by dollar signs because we need more people in Congress ready to get to work for the people.

Will you sign our petition to hold Big Tech accountable? [[link removed]]
