Hi —
This year’s November 2nd election may be considered an "off-year" one for Pennsylvania, but we see it as an "opportunity year" because it’s just as critical as any election. Voters will get to shape Pennsylvania's courts and elect county and municipal level officials who will make extremely important decisions about our environment, the future of our climate, and even the integrity of our elections.
That’s why we’re excited to announce that we’ve endorsed Judge Maria McLaughlin for Supreme Court, Judge Timika Lane for Superior Court, and Judges David Spurgeon and Lori Dumas for Commonwealth Court.
Investing in our courts is critical because they give citizens the ability to seek justice and fight back against polluters harming their communities. Environmental laws are only as strong as the judges that uphold them, and we need judges like Maria McLaughlin, Timika Lane, David Spurgeon, and Lori Dumas to hold companies and industries accountable and force them to pay when their actions or reckless pollution put people at risk and harm our shared resources.
Make sure you know the 4-1-1 on voting and what else is at stake this November by taking our voting quiz here (hint: some of the answers are in this email!) and help us get the word out about our endorsed candidates by forwarding this email.
Thanks for being a conservation voter,
