Texas’ radical anti-abortion law has opened the door for more states to enact similar restrictive measures. And with a conservative majority tilting the Supreme Court to the far-right, Roe v. Wade could even be overturned this year.

Democrats have to act fast to protect reproductive rights and access to safe, legal abortions — which is why Barbara and her colleagues in the House passed the Women’s Health Protection Act.

This landmark bill will protect a person’s right to an abortion and allow health care providers to offer abortion services without restriction. This is the codification of Roe v. Wade that we need, and now it’s time for the Senate to pass its version of the bill.
