Conversations Through the Ages: Let’s Talk About…
Every October, we celebrate the special relationship between young people and their champions through Let’s Talk Month. Throughout the month, we encourage everyone to have conversations about sex, love, relationships, and birth control. This year, we’re talking specifically about how conversations change as the young people in our lives grow and mature.
But don’t wait to start talking! Check out resources for Let’s Talk Month and start a conversation today.
Power Talk: Policy Edition
On October 5, at 1 pm ET, join our CEO, Dr. Raegan McDonald-Mosley and our VP of Policy and Strategic Partnerships, Rachel Fey; Jennifer Driver, Senior Director of Reproductive Rights at State Innovation Exchange; and Jennifer Blasdell, VP of Public Policy and Strategic Partnership at Physicians for Reproductive Health as they come together for a conversation about threats to accessing reproductive health care. Moderated by Ms. Magazine, you can watch the talk live on Facebook. If you can’t make it, we’ll post their discussion on our YouTube channel afterwards.
Our Newest Power Player
We’re committed to uplifting the many individuals championing the effort to support young people’s reproductive well-being. This month’s power player is Carly Manes, author and full spectrum doula. Read her story.
Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month
This year as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re taking time to reflect on the power of hope and resiliency. In this blog, our CEO, Dr. Raegan McDonald Mosley, dives into the second fastest growing population in the country and just a few of the many amazing people and organizations working to improve Latino reproductive well-being.
Recognizing World Contraception Day
World Contraception Day is a day dedicated to celebrating what birth control makes possible for people all over the world. This year we celebrated World Contraception Day by reviewing all the different ways that people can access the birth control method that works best for them, and, of course, by shouting #ThxBirthControl across social media.
One Key Question® Discounted
One Key Question (OKQ) is a transformative tool that starts the conversation about if, when, and under what circumstance people want to get pregnant and have a child. OKQ is patient-centered and equally supports those who want to get pregnant, those who do not, and those who are ambivalent.
In recognition of Let’s Talk Month, the cost of OKQ training has been temporarily discounted. Individuals and groups who sign up for OKQ in October will receive a 20% discount off the cost of the training using the code OKQ20OFF. The discount also applies to those who are interested in bundling OKQ with our Pathways to Care training, a deep dive in how to offer preconception and contraception counseling and care in a personalized, non-judgmental, and unbiased way. Discounts will also be offered to those interested in receiving continuing education credits with their training.
Individuals can sign up directly in our online shop. Those interested in group training should contact Bill Albert at Power to Decide ([email protected]).
