** Many of us know the great pain and loss associated with October, Breast Cancer Awareness month.
------------------------------------------------------------

My good friend John lost his sister after she survived a battle with the disease. We cannot bring back the ones we love and have lost but we can make certain that every woman has access to the preventative and reproductive healthcare they deserve.

HEALTHCARE IS A HUMAN RIGHT! ([link removed])

In Congress we will ensure that protections for women’s rights and healthcare are enshrined in the Constitution. ([link removed])

The great assault on women’s rights currently taking place in Texas and other states around the Union must stop! In the richest Nation on Earth, no one should be denied access to preventative or emergent healthcare… In Congress we must ensure that the law does not discriminate based on age, sex, race, origin, or orientation.

“It is important for us to support Congressional Campaigns that support every American's access to healthcare. Healthcare not infringed upon by government policies and that does not bankrupt our citizens.”

Pitch in Today and help Ike make single payer healthcare a reality for ALL Americans. ([link removed])

Half of Americans fighting cancer also suffer financial ruin.

Medical difficulties are cited in 66.5% of all bankruptcies in America ([link removed]) , with over 500 thousand families filing for bankruptcy each year. A study in the American Journal of Medicine ([link removed](18)30509-6/fulltext) shows that 42% of people diagnosed with cancer depleted their life savings within 2 years. Even after the passage of the Affordable Care Act, medical bankruptcy and lack of access to preventative care caused financial hardship and premature death in the United States. The high cost of medical treatment and therapy, the cost of prescription drugs, and the loss of the ability to work make preventative care essential.

We Fail 100% of American women with no access to breast cancer screening. Breast Cancer screening is standard preventative healthcare that is not standard for many American women. Ike’s platform and collaboration in Congress can change that!

America simultaneously has the Highest Cost and Worst Performing healthcare system among wealthy countries. The United States performance report from The Commonwealth Fund ([link removed]) shows just how far behind the rest of the world we are.

How many more women have to be forced into poverty or lose their lives before we change a broken and for profit driven healthcare system?

Pitch in Today! Help me fight to prevent human suffering, support women’s rights, and access to healthcare. ([link removed])
