When I was considering running for Congress against Madison Cawthorn, I knew it was going to require my all.
When we launched this campaign, we knew it needed to be built like a movement, one person at a time. And I knew that to ask for your votes, I would have to show up, listen, and learn.
Unlike my extreme Republican opponent, I believe in a politics that brings people together and leaves no one behind. Building a better future for Western NC is going to take all of us.

We’ve been taking our message of hope and unity across NC-11. So far on our #OrganizingEverywhere tour, we’ve door-knocked in six out of the 17 counties, speaking directly with folks about what they want to see change within our communities.
Some of the counties I visit are very red, and skeptics will question if it’s even worth organizing there -- but we’re going to prove exactly why it matters.
You see, I’m not the kind of elected official who only represents the people who voted for me. Instead, I’m a representative who delivers for all of my constituents.
I can’t say the same for my Republican opponent. He’s already lost some of his 2020 supporters by prioritizing his extreme agenda over representing WNC.
It is time that we replace Cawthorn’s extremism with love, leadership, and hope. I knew when I announced my candidacy that it was going to require my all (and then some), but every second of this campaign so far has been worth it.
