On Saturday, “thousands of people from all over the U.S. marched to the Supreme Court in support of abortion rights” reports Coalition of Labor Union Women (CLUW) president Elise Bryant. “I was inspired by the marchers and hopeful that the Supreme Court will hear our voices and maintain our constitutional right to maintain or terminate a pregnancy. Pro freedom! Pro justice! Pro choice!”

1199 SEIU MD/DC at the Stop Evictions Rally
With rent due on the first of the month, 1199 SEIU MD/DC was among those turning out Friday night in Annapolis to support Maryland renters who are still recovering from the pandemic. They joined CASA, Our Revolution MD and ithers at Lawyer’s Mall to tell Governor Hogan “that we must protect families from evictions and reinstate the eviction moratorium now.”

Folk singer/songwriter Woody Guthrie ("This Land is Your Land", "Union Maid" and hundreds of others) died on October 3, 1967 of Huntington's disease in New York at the age of 55.
