Should Roe v. Wade be the law of the land?

When the U.S. Supreme Court allowed Texas Republicans’ anti-choice law banning most abortions to take effect, right-wing politicians in southern states celebrated. They quickly realized that the door is now open to gutting Roe v. Wade and ending years-long legal fights to decisively roll back women’s health rights.

In South Carolina and Tennessee: Six-week bans similar to Texas’s are waiting to be argued in the courts.

In Mississippi: Lawmakers banned abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy. The Supreme Court will take up the case this fall.

In Georgia and Oklahoma: Republicans passed “heartbeat bills” banning most abortions as early as six weeks. Georgia’s law may be enacted following the Mississippi ruling, and Oklahoma Republicans are preparing to defend theirs in the courts.

John, with women’s health rights under attack in so many states in our region and across the country, we’re conducting a poll to judge how people in PA feel about reproductive choice — and it’s just one question.
