“Delgado, Gillibrand announce $50 billion for rural communities”
- Register-Star, 10/23/2019
Hello -
For too long, hardworking families in rural areas have been left behind by elected officials in Washington.
I believe all communities have an opportunity for economic prosperity.
That’s why I’m introducing the Rebuild Rural America Act, which would prioritize $50 billion in federal investment for rural communities and small towns across the country.
Will you show your support for the Rebuild Rural America Act by adding your name as a citizen co-sponsor today?
Since taking office, I’ve held 26 Town Halls across New York’s 19th District, many of them in small towns and rural communities. I’ve heard directly from community leaders and constituents about the challenges they face accessing high-speed broadband and securing the funds needed to rebuild aging infrastructure.
The Rebuild Rural America Act will help rural areas across the country rebuild critical infrastructure and make smart investments to better compete in the global economy. It makes it easier for small towns to apply for federal funding to increase access to high-speed internet, repave roads and sidewalks, restore town buildings, and support economic development.
Rural communities are the backbone of New York and our nation, providing many of the goods and food our country needs.
It’s time they had a federal government that stood with them for a change. Show your support for the Rebuild Rural America Act by adding your name as a citizen co-sponsor today.
Thank you,
-- Antonio Delgado
