I wanted to reach out to invite you to an exciting virtual reception honoring Hala Ayala, Democratic Nominee for Lt. Governor in Virginia, on October 12th at 8 pm. Hala is a single mom who knows what it’s like to struggle to make ends meet. Against the odds, she built a career as a cybersecurity specialist, and decided after the 2016 elections that enough was enough: she needed to run for office to make a difference in her community.

Now, Hala is in one of the most important races in the country this November, giving Virginia the opportunity to elect the first woman of color EVER to statewide office. We hope you’ll join us for this event, just 3 weeks before the election, to support Hala and her historic campaign.

This reception will feature special guest Laphonza Butler, the president of EMILY’s List. Additionally, we’re thrilled to partner with some amazing organizations: the Democratic Lieutenant Governors Association, Higher Heights for America, National Organization of Women VA, Virginia’s List, Women of Color Coalition and many more!
