If we haven’t had the chance to meet yet, I’m Florida Congressman Greg Steube. As a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, I ran for Congress for the same reason I joined the U.S. Army – I like to fight on the side of liberty.
Twenty years ago, I first answered the call to serve following the September 11, 2001 attacks and enlisted in the U.S. Army.
After completing Infantry Officer and Airborne training I transferred to the U.S. Army JAG Corps, serving as a Captain with the 25th Infantry Division in Operation Iraqi Freedom. While deployed in service to our nation I served as the Chief of Detainee Operation for Multi-National Defense North in Iraq.
That’s why I know first-hand that our U.S. Armed Forces are a beacon of freedom and liberty that are revered around the world.
I use my own experience in Congress to advocate for our men and women in uniform, especially now as the Biden Administration is more concerned about teaching critical race theory in our military than they are at defeating our enemies. Their weak, waffling foreign policy exposes our service members to unnecessary risk.
We must and can do better. If we are to have oversight and hold Joe Biden accountable as our commander-in-chief, we must win back our conservative House Majority. That’s why I’m fighting to bring the RED WAVE momentum right here in Florida.
