Friend --

We tried to tell them. FPC warned every U.S. House member about the "red flag" language in the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2022 (NDAA). But they passed it anyway. Then once we called them all out for it, the GOP members who voted to pass the NDAA, now are demanding the provision be removed during conference committee edits, thus excluding the "red flag" language from the final bill. While we are glad that some U.S. House members have come to the sudden realization that the "red flag" component of the NDAA they passed is bad, they could have been a little more proactive and fought against the language being included in the first place.

REMOVE NDAA RED FLAG PROVISION

While some in the House GOP are calling the inclusion of the "red flag" language in the NDAA a "drafting error", we at FPC know better. The error was feckless "pro-gun" politicians either not doing their research to learn what was in the NDAA before passing it (shocker) or willfully passing the NDAA with the "red flag" provision hoping no one would notice. With the "error" now in the spotlight, we must hold these legislators to the proverbial fire to ensure the "red flag" provision is 100% removed in the final mark-up. To help FPC make sure that these elected officials commit to this necessary change, please click one of the red "REMOVE NDAA RED FLAG PROVISION" buttons in this email to contact your specific legislators TODAY!

REMOVE NDAA RED FLAG PROVISION

Again, I implore you to contact your legislators and tell them to OPPOSE the NDAA's "red flag" provision, and any other anti-Second Amendment items that gun control proponents are trying to sneak through the FY22 appropriations process! With a Continuing Resolution funding the government through December, ALL members of Congress should be going through appropriations bills with a fine-toothed comb. They have bought some time to do this properly. FPC will be monitoring their actions and/or inactions every step of the way!

We encourage you to share this email with family, friends, and co-workers who may be supportive of this effort as well. These politicians work for us, and when they fall short, it is up to us to correct them. If you have not already joined FPC's membership, there is no better time than now! Simply visit JoinFPC.org, and join one of the fastest-growing organizations in the country. We are in the fight, and we will stay in the fight! Thanks in advance for your support of FPC and for taking action on this important matter!
