People For Member,

S.B. 8, the extreme Texas law banning abortion, is now officially in effect. Now right-wing lawmakers across the country have become emboldened to pass similar legislation in states like Florida, Arkansas, South Carolina, and others.

And despite the national outcry over these barbaric measures, corporations that once claimed to be supportive of reproductive health and gender equity are now astonishingly silent – and still cutting checks to some of the very politicians that supported S.B.8 and laws like it.

Corporations already have an enormous and deeply problematic influence in our government, but when they’re helping to fund the campaigns of anti-choice zealots in state legislatures across the country, we must speak out against it even louder.

Sign the petition now and demand that corporations stop funneling money to anti-choice politicians! >>

Astonishingly, in the last year alone corporations have given more than $5.9 MILLION to the Texas legislators who sponsored S.B.8.[1] Of those companies, more than 86 of them are on the Fortune 500 list.

It’s inexcusable that these corporations say one thing about their support for reproductive health while their actions (and money) prove otherwise.

While we continue fighting to eliminate the influence of corporations and secret money in our government, we need to increase public pressure on them to stop donating to far-right politicians who enact laws like S.B.8.

Add your name and join the thousands of people across the country demanding that corporations stop donating to these far-right politicians >>

Thanks for all that you do.

In solidarity,

Zach, People For the American Way

Radical Right extremists are trying to turn back the clock on a century of advances in civil rights, women’s rights, workers’ rights, the social safety net and more… they’re waging an all-out assault on the fundamental pillars of our country – democracy, checks and balances, a fair and independent judicial branch, and core values like fairness, equality, and justice for all.

People For is fighting back every day with:

✔ Grassroots organizing
✔ Lobbying and advocacy
✔ Research and education
✔ Voter mobilization
✔ And more…

But we can’t do this vital work without the robust grassroots financial support of our members and activists.

Please help fund the fight for progress and stand against right-wing extremism with an urgently needed donation to People For today>>
