The remaining six dogs in S. Korea awaiting flights are safely in the care of a no-kill animal shelter with ALW sending frequent updates. All the rescued dogs spent time in a veterinary hospital being nursed back to health and have been spayed or neutered and vaccinated. Volunteers are being recruited to accompany the remaining dogs on their respective flights to the U.S. “Today we celebrate as Blossom begins a happy new life. However, we reiterate our call to the S. Korean National Assembly to immediately enact the legislation which would end the dog meat trade and save millions of animals from suffering and death,” said Chris DeRose, LCA's President and Founder. “It’s enough, the majority of S. Koreans oppose this horrific industry. The law must be changed to reflect the will of the public.” |
