Right now, I’m joining my fellow progressives in demanding the House pass the Build Back Better Act because I know this is what we need to do to truly serve the American people who are still reeling from an ongoing pandemic. 

I refuse to continue with business as usual without first ensuring the women and families who need healthcare, paid leave, and good-paying jobs in the care economy. I will not desert our climate or the need for equitable housing policy.

I will not leave behind all the immigrants and undocumented people who have been so essential in keeping our country and our city running throughout this pandemic. 

The Build Back Better Act contains the vast majority of both President Biden’s agenda and the Democratic agenda. When voters handed our party the unprecedented win of taking back the House, Senate, and White House, they expected us to do whatever we could to deliver on that agenda.
