Today marks four years since senseless tragedy struck our state.
I’m remembering the 58 individuals who died that night and left behind devastated families and communities across the country. I hope you’ll join me in remembering the lives we lost.
Las Vegas will never be a place where extreme hate and violence wins. This is exactly why we came together as a community to mourn and take positive action in the name of the people we lost and their families.
Let’s also remember our first responders who handled that night professionally and saved so many lives because of their commitment to our safety and health. It’s because of their selflessness that our communities are strong.
The pain from 1 October still impacts the lives of so many today. It’s critical that we remain steadfast in our commitment to eradicate gun violence from our communities. We can do this for the 58 people we lost, their families, and the countless other victims across our country.
Take today to reach out to those around you who may be struggling. Let them know that we’re here for them and the path forward will bring healing.
Forever Vegas Strong.
