Yesterday, Joe Manchin and other obstructionist Democrats fought until
late in the night to obstruct progressives, and our biggest shot to expand
Medicare, address climate change, increase corporate tax rates, and
provide universal pre-K and community college.

Our progressive coalition in Congress didn’t let them win. Justice
Democrats held the line and successfully delayed a vote on the bipartisan
infrastructure bill. And they won’t let up until Congress passes a $3.5
trillion spending bill to back it up.

When speaking to reporters outside the Capitol yesterday, Manchin referred
to the actions of Justice Democrats in Congress, saying “if liberals want
to pass a bigger bill, they should elect more liberals.” What he really
meant was that if progressives wanted to pass a bigger bill, they should
elect more Justice Democrats. And we couldn’t agree more.

line and pass the $3.5 trillion spending bill. But this bill is just the
beginning. If we want to pass bigger and bolder legislation, we’re going
to have to elect more Justice Democrats.

AOC, Pramila, Ilhan, Ayanna, Cori, Jamaal and the rest of the Justice
Democrats in Congress are fighting for working people and their interests
every day. In a short amount of time, they’ve already accomplished so
much. Like tanking a billionaire, dark money, fossil fuel, Exxon
lobbyist-drafted infrastructure bill and championing the climate,
economic, and social priorities our country needs.

Now imagine what would happen if we elected more members of Congress like
them. It would be Joe Manchin’s worst nightmare!
